Screw Plug Heater

Screw plug heaters are miniature versions of immersion heaters that use a threaded plug in place of the heater flange. After fitting into a threaded hexagonal head, one or more tubular heating elements are screwed straight through a threaded connection in the tank wall, vessel, or installed process line. Solutions in smaller containers that might or might not need temperature control can be easily heated with screw plug heaters. In the tank, the heaters can be positioned either vertically or horizontally. Both single-phase and three-phase power supply can be used with the heater. – NOBLEHEAT

In order to monitor and manage the temperature, the screw plug heaters also come with a thermowell where a temperature sensor can be attached. To guarantee that the heater is turned on and off at a predetermined temperature, a basic thermostat is typically fitted within the thermowell and pre-wired with the heater. For the operator’s convenience, the thermostat knob can be positioned outside the terminal cover.

Construction

1. Nickel Chromium Resistance wire for high mechanical and creep strength for maximum heater life. Nickel-Chromium resistance coil is fusion welded to the metallic terminal pins.

2. High Purity magnesium oxide fill selected for maximum dielectric strength and thermal conductivity, highly compacted for maximum heat transfer.

3. Stainless steel sheath / Inconel sheath for oxidation and corrosion resistance in a wide variety of environments and are suitable for high temperatures applications
