Silicone Rubber Heater

// About

Silicone Rubber Heater

Often referred to as “flexible heaters,” silicone rubber heaters are made of fiberglass-reinforced silicone rubbers that are non-toxic, tough, flame-retardant, and resistant to chemicals and moisture. Heat circuits made of wire or etched foil are sandwiched between two silicone “wafers,” giving them strength and flexibility.

Heat may be directed where it is needed with silicone rubber heaters. These heaters reduce wattage needs, speed up warm-ups, and enhance heat transfer. Without compromising flexibility, the heater’s dimensions are stabilized using fiberglass-reinforced silicone rubber. Heat transfer is quick and effective since there isn’t much material between the element and the part. Because of its extremely thin structure, the heater can be used in spaces with limited space. – NOBLEHEAT

Construction

1. The lead wire consists of high-temperature resistance wire wound around a fibreglass core for added support and flexibility

2. Silicone rubber is rugged, moisture and chemical resistant, flame retardant, have high dielectric strength.

3. Nickel Chromium Resistance wire for maximum life, evenly wound for even heat distribution. The vulcanization process is used to attach the power leads and cord sets to the heater winding.

Design Options

Ground Mesh Heater Design

Ground Mesh

For grounding purposes, the second layer of insulating material and a conductive grid can be added to the heater. The heater comes with a ground wire.

Sponge Insulation Heater

Sponge Insulation

To improve heater efficiency, 1/16″, 1/8″, 1/4″, 3/8″ or 1/2″ insulation can be bonded to the outside. Closed-cell silicone sponge (-75°C to 250°C range) provides excellent flexibility.

Enclosure Heater Installation
