An excellent industrial heating equipment, strip heaters work incredibly well for surface heating applications. To guarantee consistent heating, they are made of resistance wire that has been evenly coiled and stretched throughout the heater’s length and width inside a ceramic insulator.
The assembly is filled with high-purity magnesium oxide to eliminate air pockets and provide superior thermal conductivity and dielectric strength. It is embedded in a stainless steel sheath for superior mechanical strength and corrosion resistance.
For air heating applications, strip heaters are incorporated with fins to maximize surface area to increase heat transfer rates and thus provides faster and more efficient heating. Finned Strip Heaters are used for both forced and natural convection air heating. Continuous spiral fins are permanently furnace brazed to the sheath.
