Coil Heater

Up to 750°C, coil heaters provide a high heating profile and excellent performance in small areas. Coil heaters come in a variety of diameters and cross-sections, and they can be shaped into nearly any geometric shape in addition to being straight and coil-shaped.

Coil heaters can be stretched to meet spread wattage requirements or tightly coiled to give focused heat. Integrated thermocouples are another feature that coil heaters can include for accurate temperature control and fast reaction. The thermocouple may be terminated anywhere in the coil portion and may be of type “J” or “K.”

Construction

1. Nickel Chromium Resistance wire for maximum life

2. High Purity magnesium oxide fill selected for maximum dielectric strength and thermal conductivity, highly compacted for maximum heat transfer

3. Stainless steel sheath / Inconel sheath for oxidation and corrosion resistance in a wide variety of environments

4. Thermocouple for precise temperature control (type ‘J’ and type ‘K’ thermocouple)

1. The lead wire consists of high-temperature resistance wire wound around a fibreglass core for added support and flexibility

2. Silicone rubber is rugged, moisture and chemical resistant, flame retardant, have high dielectric strength.

3. Nickel Chromium Resistance wire for maximum life, evenly wound for even heat distribution. The vulcanization process is used to attach the power leads and cord sets to the heater winding.
